Hagen Keller
Hagen Keller graduated in directing and screenwriting at the “Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film” in Munich, having previously completed training as a photographer at the “Staatliche Fachakademie für Fotodesign” in Munich. Visual storytelling (the control of the visual communication with the audience, Dramturgic Breakdown of scenes) was and is the main focus of his work as a director, dramaturge and lecturer. As founder and shareholder of “ostlicht Filmproduktion” he supervised and realized national and international feature films and was responsible for the development, dramaturgical supervision and financing of feature films.
Hagen Keller has been teaching film directing, dramaturgy, visual storytelling at various universities for more than 20 years and is head of film workshops in the film and private industry, among others also together with Prof. Andrzej Mellin from the film school in Lodz. In addition to his work as a freelance director, dramaturge and lecturer, Hagen Keller has been overseeing film and series concepts of Philip Koch’s “Nocturna Filmproduktion” (director of Tribes of Europe, Picco) in development, dramaturgical consulting and implementation for various streaming services since 2022.
