Prof. Beatrice Babin

In the mid-90s Beatrice Babin discovered moving images, video installations and video performances for herself. Since 2000, she has edited numerous feature films, documentaries, art films and music clips. She has worked with Emily Atef, Volker Koepp, Micah Magee, Wael Shawky, Michael Klette, Cordula Kablitz, Wim Wenders, Markus Imhoof and many other directors.

Since 2017, she has returned to her roots in video art as a live visual performer. Since 2018 she is a member of the feminist VJ collective Trial&Theresa. She is also a member of the German Film Academy.
Since 2019 she is professor for montage at the Filmhochschule HFF in Munich.
